週明けの月曜日。久しぶりにサンシャインが期待できる東京から移動して小雨の降る地方都市へ。
程よい睡眠とたっぷりの朝食のおかげで、余裕を持った体力と気力で出発。羽田は2カ月前より人が増えているけど、一部の保安検査場はまだ閉まったままだし、ラウンジ内の雑誌や新聞も利用できないまま。そして、利用者増加でもフライト数は減ったままだからか、機内はほぼ満席だった。
雨模様だし、外ランはあきらめて、ホテルでトレッドミル30分。旧式のトレッドミルなのか走る音がかなり響くが、誰もいないトレーニングルームは貸し切り状態でマスクも外してひと汗かく。
マシンがスピードをコントロールしてくれるので、心拍数がほぼ平坦で、ずっと有酸素運動ゾーンを保てた。ふだんは感覚重視で生きているけど、たまにはこうして計算が得意なマシンに管理してもらって、その感覚を学習するのはいいかもしれない。
母と妹と濃い時間を過ごせたことに感謝しつつ、帰りの機内では、何も考えずに、Whitesnakeの『Restless Heart』🎵を聴きながら目を閉じる……。この移動中のつかの間のひとりのひとときは、ランニングしているときと同じように、自分だけの時間。貴重な時間だ。ありがたい。さあ、また日常を頑張ろう!
Do you want to sometimes escape from your routine?
For me, I like my daily life, which I think is not very stressful. However I sometimes feel like I want an opportunity to listen to my body & mind and then to refresh them by escaping from my routine (even if it's a small escape).
The other day, I visited a local city and spent an almost full day with my mother and younger sister, each of whom lives in another city. During going to and going back from the city as well as staying at the hotel room at night, I was all by myself. As getting older, I became much more aware of the need to have such times. Some time on my own makes me feel calm and refreshed.
I run on a treamill in the hotel training room instead of running outside because of the rain. I realized that a treadmill with a heart rate monitor worked very well. I was able to keep my heart rate in my aerobic zone. It's a good idea to use a treadmill during the rainy season.
My daily life went back to normal, but, if necessary, I could have a solo time every day by running regardless of outside or on a treadmill, and thankfully by writing my blog!!!
