家族が集まるゴールデンウィークの穏やかな日。デザートに用意したのは、オンラインで注文できる「洋菓子工房きらら」さんのグルテンフリーケーキ。
アーモンド生地、または米粉生地でできた8種類のケーキは、原材料とその生産国が記載された説明書といっしょに冷凍で到着。食べる数時間前に冷蔵庫に移すだけで、すでにカットされているので手間いらず。見た目もかわいく、甘すぎない味にも大満足。私以外、誰も原材料にこだわりを持つ者はいないので、家族の反応は普通だったが、私はひそかにきららさんのプロフェッショナルの仕事に拍手を送った。
現地時間の5/6は、チャールズ英国王の戴冠式の日だった。先日、お客様からもらった戴冠式の記念グッズを見ながら、ユーモアたっぷりのフレンドリーなカップルを思い出す。まさに一期一会の仕事だが、こうして思い出す機会があるとうれしい。
Sometimes sweets bring us a relaxing and peaceful time. On top of that, if the ingredients are not potentially harmful to our body, I'm super happy.

By the way, the coronation of Charles III took place on May 6th. The items with the words of "King Charles III", "coronation", "6th May 2023" on each of them, which one of my guests gave me the other day, reminded me of the great day spent with the humorous and friendly couple from England.
A guiding job, I think, has the aspect of "Ichigo-ichie," meaning "the first meeting with someone might be the last one in our lifetime, and thus we should cherish every single moment" (one of the concepts of tea ceremony). Therefore, if I have another opportunity to meet the guest(s) again even in my memory, that would be great.
